History of Thai Traditional Medicine College

  • Academic Year 1998 Rajamangala University of Technology and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Ministry of Public Health, collaborated in creating a curriculum for Vocational Certificate in Health Sciences (Traditional Thai Medicine), which program was later renamed to Health Sciences in Alternative Thai Medicine.
  • Academic Year 1999 A curriculum for Higher Vocational Certificate in Health Sciences (Alternative Thai Medicine) was approved by the Office of the Civil Service Commission on November 23rd 1999, accounted as the first program opened for vocational training in Alternative Thai Medicine.
  • Academic Year 2004 The college opened a Bachelor of Science Program in Traditional Thai Medicine, which is a four-year undergraduate program under the Faculty of Science. Consequently, the academic programs for vocational certificates were terminated.
  • Academic Year 2006 On December 25th 2006,the Thai Traditional Medicine College was established as an academic division, equivalent to faculty, within Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.
  • Academic Year 2007 The college opened a Bachelor of Science Program in Health, Aesthetics and Thai Spa, which is a four-year undergraduate program.
  • Academic Year 2008 The curriculum was renamed to program of Alternative Thai Medicine, and was approved by the Thai Traditional Medical Council under the Ministry of Public Health.
  • Academic Year 2011 The college updated the curriculum for Bachelor of Science in Alternative Thai Medicine, and renamed the program “Health, Aesthetics and Thai Spa” as “Health, Aesthetics and Spa”. 
  • Academic Year 2012-2018 The Thai Traditional Medicine College offers enrollment for two academic programs:
    • Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, a four-year undergraduate program
    • Health and Aesthetics, a four-year undergraduate program
  • Academic Year 2018-present The Thai Traditional Medicine College offers enrollment for three academic programs
    • B.ATM. Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, a four-year undergraduate program
    • B.SC. Health and Aesthetics, a four-year undergraduate program
    • B.SC. Innovation of Health Products, a four-year undergraduate program
  • Academic Year 2021-present The Thai Traditional Medicine College offers enrollment for three academic programs
    • M.SC. Complementary & Alternative Medicine, a two-year graduate program
